About The Position

As a Security Officer Children's Center in Bronx, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare setting, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or contractors while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities in a healthcare setting.
  • Respond to incidents, behavioral health-related concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and document activities in accordance with site procedures.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned buildings, entrances, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
  • Monitor access points and visitor activity, assist with directions and site information, and report unauthorized access, suspicious activity, and/or facility concerns to appropriate personnel.
  • Complete accurate incident reports, patrol logs, and other required documentation while maintaining professionalism, confidentiality, and respect for patient privacy.
