About The Position

Citadel Security USA is looking for a dependable Part-Time Unarmed Security Officer to provide weekend coverage in Glenwood Springs. The officer will help maintain a safe, orderly, and welcoming environment through regular observation, professional interaction, and timely communication of security concerns. This position is a good fit for someone who enjoys working with the public, pays close attention to their surroundings, and can handle routine security responsibilities with professionalism and sound judgment.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain a professional and approachable security presence throughout assigned areas.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, common areas, and other designated locations.
  • Observe activity and recognize conditions that may create a safety or security concern.
  • Identify disruptive behavior, suspicious activity, property concerns, or potential hazards.
  • Communicate significant concerns to supervisors or designated contacts.
  • Perform routine walkthroughs of assigned areas throughout the shift.
  • Check doors, access points, public areas, and designated spaces for unusual conditions.
  • Identify maintenance or safety concerns that require attention.
  • Assist with maintaining orderly conditions in areas used by visitors and employees.
  • Follow established patrol procedures and location-specific instructions.
  • Greet visitors and provide courteous assistance when appropriate.
  • Answer basic questions or direct individuals to the appropriate personnel.
  • Maintain respectful communication with visitors, employees, vendors, and other members of the public.
  • Help encourage compliance with established rules through professionalism and clear communication.
  • Use calm, respectful communication when addressing concerns or disagreements.
  • Respond to security, safety, or behavioral concerns in accordance with established procedures.
  • Assess situations and determine when supervisors or emergency services should be contacted.
  • Remain composed when unexpected situations arise.
  • Follow company policies, post orders, and applicable response procedures.
  • Complete daily activity logs accurately and on time.
  • Prepare incident reports when required.
  • Record unusual events, safety concerns, security issues, and other relevant observations.
  • Provide clear information during shift changes or when communicating with supervisors.
  • Maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive information.
