About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time enhanced Security Officer for a hospital morgue driver role in Columbia, Tennessee. The position pays $23.50 per hour and provides a fixed weekly anchor shift at an assigned site, requiring a six-month commitment. The scheduled shift is Saturday from 6:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Employees may claim additional shifts through the company scheduling platform, with the opportunity to work up to 40 hours per week and adjust their hours as needed.

The officer supports a safe, orderly healthcare environment by assisting patients, visitors, and staff, following site procedures, responding to incidents, patrolling assigned areas, managing access and visitors, and accurately documenting activities. The role requires working in and around a hospital morgue and being able to restrain individuals when necessary.

Requirements

• At least one year of security-related experience.
• Valid driver’s license in the state where the job is located; required for driving positions.
• Must meet hospital vaccination requirements.
• Must be willing to work in and around a hospital morgue.
• Must be able to restrain individuals when necessary.
• Must be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles or 21 or older for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation, consistent with applicable laws.
• Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply under state or local laws and may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
• Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations, following healthcare facility protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, including entrances, parking areas, and the facility perimeter, and monitor for unusual activity and potential hazards.
• Assist with access control, visitor management, and giving directions.
• Accurately and promptly document incidents, observations, and completed activities according to site requirements.
