As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Driver in Houston, TX, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Requirements

  • Possess a TSA issued TWIC.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access protocols, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a utilities location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or unusual activity in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and/or public emergency personnel as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout operational areas, buildings, gates, parking areas, and perimeter zones to help identify and report security-related concerns, hazards, and/or suspicious activity.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and/or visitor information, and report unauthorized access attempts or policy violations according to site guidelines.
  • Support daily operations by completing incident reports, maintaining activity logs, and communicating clearly with supervisors and site personnel regarding security-related issues and changing conditions.
