As an Unarmed Security Officer at a retail distribution location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. You will support a caring, people-first culture through teamwork, integrity, and reliable service while helping create a welcoming environment for employees, visitors, and deliveries.

Requirements

• Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.
• Have X-ray screening experience, preferred.
• Have customer service experience, preferred.
• Possess a Guard Card or license, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and delivery personnel while carrying out site-specific procedures and security-related policies at a retail distribution location.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, loading areas, parking areas, perimeter, and other assigned locations to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points, verify authorized entry as directed, and report suspicious activity, hazards, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response procedures.
• Prepare accurate daily activity reports and document incidents, observations, and interactions in accordance with site requirements.
