About The Position

Allied Universal is Currently Hiring a Full Time Security Officer for a High School in Everett MA. Monday - Friday 7 AM - 3 PM. Starting Pay is $21.04 Per Hour / Paid Orientation / Paid Training. Ideal Candidate is Comfortable With Computers, Customer Service, Alarms and Access Control. As a Security Officer Patrol Access Assistant in Cambridge, MA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. Join Allied Universal in an education location where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and support students, staff, and visitors through strong communication and customer service. Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Customer service experience is preferred.
Access control and badge experience is preferred.
Comfortable with computers, customer service, alarms and access control.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to students, staff, visitors, and/or families by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report relevant details according to location protocols.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout campus buildings, parking areas, playgrounds, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and observe unusual conditions.
Monitor entrances, hallways, and common areas to help to manage access, provide directions, and support an orderly environment during school hours and special events.
Communicate with school personnel, visitors, and/or first responders regarding security-related concerns, policy questions, and incident updates as needed.
