About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer for asset protection at a healthcare location in Elkton, Maryland. The officer will help safeguard clients, patients, visitors, and staff by monitoring assigned areas, conducting routine patrols, remaining visible to deter security-related incidents, and providing customer service and clear communication. The position offers a schedule-building and shift-claiming platform.

The scheduled shifts are Saturday and Sunday, 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM. The pay rate is $17.50 per hour. Applicants must have at least one year of security-related experience, be at least 21 years old, and have a high school diploma or equivalent. Employment is contingent on a background investigation and, where permitted by law, a drug screen. Licensing may be required under applicable state or local regulations.

• Must be 21 years of age or older.

• Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.

• Licensing may be required before employment, subject to state and local laws and regulations.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Carry out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and participate in emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond calmly to incidents and critical situations, following established site protocols and reporting requirements.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, grounds, access points, and perimeter, identifying and reporting unusual activity or conditions.
• Monitor access to restricted areas and verify visitor and contractor authorization.
• Maintain accurate visitor and incident documentation.
• Communicate professionally with staff, patients, visitors, and emergency responders to help maintain an orderly healthcare environment.
