About The Position

As a Security Officer Full Time Bicycle Route Patrol in Philadelphia, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a dynamic educational location, you will conduct visible patrols by bicycle and on foot, monitor access points, support badge and access control processes, and help deter security-related incidents. You will engage with students, staff, and visitors while delivering outstanding customer service and communication. Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Preferred ability to ride a bike for long periods of time.
• Preferred ability to lift more than 20 pounds.
• Preferred experience with access control and badge systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and campus partners while carrying out site-specific procedures and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate campus contacts and/or emergency personnel as directed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of campus buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and observe activity throughout assigned areas; report suspicious behavior, hazards, maintenance concerns, and policy violations according to site procedures.
• Complete accurate activity logs, incident reports, and shift documentation, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal supervision and site representatives.
