About The Position

As a Security Officer - Government Center - Morning Shift in Brooklyn, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned government locations, remaining highly visible to help deter security-related incidents. You will conduct routine patrols, engage with the public, and provide outstanding customer service while supporting a secure environment. Requirements

A valid New York State Security Guard License is required.
At this site there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as needed.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and its perimeter to observe for unusual activity and help to deter potential incidents.
Maintain a visible presence to help to deter unauthorized activity and provide assistance to employees, visitors, and the public as required.
Document observations and incidents according to site and Allied Universal protocols.
Communicate clearly and professionally with team members, site personnel, and emergency responders as required.
Follow all site-specific guidelines and instructions while maintaining a professional demeanor at all times.
