Job Description As a Security Officer - Armed Flightline Patrol in Columbus, GA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer at a cutting edge aero and defense location. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and support employees and visitors through clear communication and customer focused service. Working with an agile, reliable, and innovative team, you will bring integrity and a people first mindset to every interaction while documenting and reporting activity.

Requirements

  • Have 1+ years of armed security, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to site personnel and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, production areas, parking lots, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify hazards or irregular conditions.
  • Monitor access control points by verifying credentials, managing visitor entry processes, and directing individuals to proper locations in accordance with site requirements.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with site contacts and public responders as needed.
  • Document observations, incidents, and patrol activities in detailed reports and communicate pertinent information to the oncoming shift and site leadership.
