About The Position

As a Security Officer Full Time Hospital Visitor Patrol in Philadelphia, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support patients, visitors, and staff with outstanding customer service and communication. You will contribute to a caring environment through teamwork, integrity, and dependable service while reflecting Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, and innovative values.

Requirements

• Meet hospital vaccination requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• X-Ray screening experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or vendors while carrying out site-specific policies, security-related procedures, and emergency response activities in a healthcare setting.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, disturbances, and other critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and notification procedures.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of assigned buildings, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and assist with visitor direction, wayfinding, and access control procedures in accordance with facility policies.
• Document observations, incidents, and patrol activities accurately and communicate relevant information to supervisors and appropriate facility personnel.
