About The Position

The Security Officer maintains a safe and secure environment for guests and employees by patrolling and monitoring the casino premises and personnel. The role supports the casino’s ability to provide a superior entertainment experience for guests. The position has no supervisory duties.

The work takes place throughout the facility, where lighting may flash and noise levels range from quiet to loud. The officer must be willing to work evenings, weekends, and holidays in a smoke-filled environment. The position involves regular communication with coworkers and guests, computer and radio use, and remaining stationary for 50 percent or more of a shift. Depending on the weather, the officer may be exposed to temperatures below 32 degrees or at or above 100 degrees for periods exceeding one hour. The workplace is under constant surveillance, and the officer may encounter risks when attempting to resolve contentious issues with guests or staff. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent, including a Home School Certificate.
• Able and willing to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Able to perform the duties and responsibilities, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Responsibilities

• Secure premises and personnel by patrolling facility property.
• Prepare reports based on observations, information, occurrences, and witness interviews, and obtain signatures as needed.
• Monitor the opening and closing of machines for routine repairs and maintenance as needed.
• Escort employees entering and leaving the main bank with issued bank.
• Observe the drop and count team while drop and count is being performed.
• Attend and satisfactorily complete training as assigned by the Security Supervisor.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
