About The Position

Securitas is looking for a Security Officer to help protect a corporate property, its employees, visitors, and assets. In this role, you’ll serve as a visible security presence while monitoring and controlling access to the property, responding to alarms, conducting regular patrols, and ensuring security procedures are followed. This is a great opportunity for someone who takes pride in their work, communicates well, and is comfortable interacting with employees, visitors, and client representatives. No security experience necessary! If you have a background in retail, hospitality, customer service, or another people-focused environment, your experience can translate well into this role. We’ll provide the training and everything you need to get started in a career in security.

Requirements

Strong communication and customer service skills
High level of professionalism and reliability
Strong attention to detail and observation skills
Ability to remain alert and attentive throughout the shift
Comfortable interacting with employees, visitors, and vendors
Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods of time
Basic computer skills
High school diploma or GED
Must be at least 18 years old
Ability to complete all pre-employment requirements prior to starting

Responsibilities

Monitor and control access to the corporate facility
Greet and professionally interact with employees, visitors, and vendors
Verify identification, credentials, and access authorization as required
Respond promptly to alarms and security system notifications
Conduct regular interior and exterior patrols of the property
Monitor the facility for suspicious activity, safety concerns, and security risks
Maintain a visible security presence throughout the property
Monitor security cameras, access control systems, and other security equipment
Respond appropriately to emergencies, including fire, medical, and security incidents
Enforce site-specific security policies, procedures, and access protocols
Maintain accurate daily activity and incident reports
Communicate effectively with clients, employees, team members, and emergency personnel
Provide professional customer service while maintaining a strong security presence
Perform other security-related duties as assigned
