As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Screener in Washington, DC, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you. Pay Rate: $34.34 / Hour

Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and staff by following site-specific procedures, screening protocols, and security-related policies within a commercial real estate location.
  • Monitor building entry points and conduct screening of visitors, vendors, deliveries, and/or personal property in accordance with post orders and access guidelines.
  • Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with building management and/or emergency personnel as needed.
  • Document screening activities, access issues, and incident details in required logs and reports, and report maintenance concerns or policy violations to the appropriate contact.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the lobby, common areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify conditions that may require follow-up.
