About The Position

Fairmont Hotels & Resorts is seeking a Security Officer to patrol hotel property, guest areas, back-of-house spaces, entrances, exits, and surrounding areas to promote safety and security. The role involves monitoring and responding to security concerns, suspicious activity, emergencies, and safety hazards professionally. The Security Officer will provide assistance and directions to guests, visitors, and colleagues, and respond promptly to incidents such as medical situations, disturbances, accidents, alarms, and emergency calls. Responsibilities include completing detailed incident reports, daily activity logs, and required documentation, as well as monitoring security systems, surveillance equipment, and access control systems. The position also supports crowd management, special events, VIP arrivals, and hotel functions, and assists with hotel emergency response procedures and evacuation protocols. Collaboration with hotel leadership and local emergency responders is expected, along with ensuring compliance with hotel policies, safety procedures, and applicable laws. Maintaining confidentiality, professionalism, and a positive presence consistent with luxury hospitality standards is crucial. Participation in training programs, safety drills, and departmental meetings is also required.

Requirements

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
  • Must meet all applicable Louisiana licensing or certification requirements for security personnel, if required for the position

Nice To Haves

  • Previous security, law enforcement, military, hospitality security, or related experience preferred
  • Luxury hotel or customer service experience preferred
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred

Responsibilities

  • Assist with crowd management, special events, VIP arrivals, and hotel functions as needed
  • Support hotel emergency response procedures and evacuation protocols
  • Collaborate with hotel leadership and local emergency responders when necessary
  • Ensure compliance with hotel policies, safety procedures, and applicable laws and regulations
