As a Security Officer Facility Patrol in Fort Wayne, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a dynamic construction location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support access activities with strong customer service and communication. Requirements

• At this site there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• The ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to site personnel, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting relevant details and communicating with appropriate contacts.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location, including entrances, gates, parking areas, and perimeter access points, to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access to the location by verifying credentials, directing authorized visitors, and reporting unusual activity, property concerns, and/or maintenance issues through proper channels.
• Support site operations by observing construction-related activity, checking for unsecured areas or materials, and following post orders for after-hours rounds and incident reporting.
