About The Position
This is a temporary position for a Security Officer responsible for maintaining a professional and calm demeanor, controlling access points, directing traffic, and ensuring the safety and security of guests, visitors, employees, and the facility. The role requires clear communication, independent work, and positive interaction with all individuals.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or G.E.D. required
- Ability to effectively communicate verbally, both in person and on the telephone
- Possess a valid drivers license
Nice To Haves
- Security service experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Maintain professional calm demeanor during encounters with guest, visitors, or employees
- Stand an access point post, determine access, and direct traffic
- Communicate in clear understandable English language by two-way radio, telephone, computer, and hard-copy written information
- Maintain professional (clean, neat) appearance
- Work independently with minimal supervision
- Record and disseminate appropriate information regarding access
- Review, check, process, and activate access controls involving automated gates
- Ensure guest and employee safety and security
- Ensure facility security
- Engage in positive Guest and employee interaction, under all types of conditions
