Requirements

Possess 5+ years of security-related experience.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Experience with handcuffs, pepper spray, and/or baton is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to residents, visitors, staff, and service providers by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a shelter setting.
Respond to incidents, resident concerns, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior and exterior areas, including entrances, common areas, parking areas, and the perimeter, to help deter unauthorized activity.
Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify authorization as directed by site procedures, and report unusual or suspicious conditions to appropriate personnel.
Document patrols, incidents, observations, and shift activities accurately and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
