As a Security Officer - Hospital Patrol - Flex in Aventura, FL, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you. This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Requirements

Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
Meet hospital vaccine requirements.
Be able to work in a hospital environment that includes a morgue.
Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
Be at least 21 years of age.
Be able to restrain individuals in a hospital setting.
Have at least 2 years of service in a healthcare or medical-related field.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to staff, patients, and visitors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-related practices, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Respond to incidents, disturbances, and urgent situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, and report security-related concerns according to site protocols.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location, including buildings, hallways, parking areas, and perimeter points, noting unusual activity and/or conditions that may need attention.
Monitor entrances, exits, and common areas to help to deter unauthorized access, support visitor management practices, and assist with direction and information requests.
Document daily activities, observations, and incident details, and communicate with site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership regarding security-related matters.
