As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol Observation in Harrisburg, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As an unarmed Security Officer at a financial institution location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, support access control, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. Requirements

  • Minimum of 6 months of relevant security experience is required. This includes experience in monitoring, patrolling, and ensuring the safety and security of premises and personnel.
  • Candidates should have experience with access control systems and badge management. Familiarity with issuing, tracking, and managing access credentials is essential.
  • Proficiency in using computers or tablets is necessary. Candidates should be comfortable navigating software applications, managing digital communications, and utilizing technology for reporting and documentation.
  • A background in customer service is required. Candidates must demonstrate strong interpersonal skills, the ability to handle inquiries and complaints, and a commitment to providing excellent service to clients and colleagues.
  • At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees at a financial institution by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of the facility, parking areas, entrances, ATM locations, and perimeter to help identify unusual activity and report security-related concerns.
  • Monitor access points and observe visitor, employee, and contractor activity in accordance with site procedures.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and/or emergency responders as directed by site procedures.
  • Complete required activity reports, incident documentation, and shift logs accurately and promptly.
