Requirements

• Have at least one year of security-related experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• A state, county, or city-issued security license is preferred.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and authorized personnel at a medical examiner office by carrying out site-specific procedures and security-related protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, or unauthorized access.
• Monitor access points and verify credentials for employees, visitors, vendors, and authorized transport personnel in accordance with established procedures.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and complete required documentation.
• Maintain accurate activity logs, incident reports, and shift communications while protecting confidential information and respecting the sensitive nature of the location.
