About The Position

As a Security Officer Full Time - Hospital in Sterling, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. Requirements

• Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.
• Qualification in handcuffs, pepper spray, and baton is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to a healthcare setting.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner while supporting staff and visitors during urgent situations.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, report security-related concerns, and communicate clearly with site contacts and first responders when needed.
