As a Security Officer - Dedicated Residential Driving Role in San Diego, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Residential, and more. As an Allied Universal Officer in a residential community, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and support residents and guests with exceptional customer service and communication. This is a driving post, offering the opportunity to combine mobile patrol responsibilities with a caring, agile, and reliable team culture built on integrity and teamwork.

Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • A guard card or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to residents, visitors, and/or property staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting relevant details and reporting concerns through appropriate channels.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the residential location, including common areas, parking areas, entry points, and perimeter spaces, as conditions vary by site.
  • Monitor access to the property and help to deter unauthorized activity by observing surroundings, verifying permitted access when required, and reporting unusual behavior and/or property concerns.
  • Support residential property operations by addressing routine tenant or visitor questions, noting maintenance-related issues observed during patrols, and communicating security-related updates to site contacts as needed.
