About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Patrol Driver for an assigned retail site in San Diego, California. The position pays $21.00 per hour and has a designated weekly anchor shift: Thursday, 5:00 PM–11:00 PM. The anchor-shift assignment requires a six-month commitment. Officers may claim additional shifts through the company scheduling platform, with the option to increase hours up to 40 per week and later scale back. The role is described as part-time and intended to provide a reliable base schedule with flexibility to earn more.

Requirements

• At least one year of security-related experience.
• A valid driver’s license, required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy for driving positions.
• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles or 21 or older for armed roles.
• A high school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable law.
• Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements depend on applicable state and local laws and may be required before employment.

Nice To Haves

• A state-, county-, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to customers, employees, and visitors while following security procedures and site-specific policies, and participating in emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations, escalating matters according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the store, adjacent areas, and perimeter to identify unusual activity, policy concerns, and facility issues.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and high-traffic areas to deter unauthorized activity and support a positive shopping environment.
• Accurately document observations, incidents, and patrol activities, and communicate relevant information to site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision.
