As a Security Officer Full Time Screening Compliance in Indianapolis, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As a Screener in a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, you will help support access control, screen personnel and visitors, monitor activity, and report security-related concerns. You will remain visible to help deter incidents while providing exceptional customer service and clear communication. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

  • Loss prevention experience is preferred.
  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and delivery personnel by carrying out site-specific screening procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Screen personnel, visitors, and authorized items entering designated areas in accordance with established access-control and screening requirements.
  • Operate screening equipment and conduct visual inspections of packages, shipments, and personal belongings as assigned, escalating irregularities according to site procedures.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner and communicate observations to appropriate site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned screening areas, loading zones, facility access points, and perimeter areas; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
