About The Position

Sunstates Security is hosting a Hiring Event for Security Officers on Friday, May 29th, 1:00PM - 5:00PM. Meet with Hiring Managers for Full-Time, Part-Time, and Flex positions on 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shifts in the Portland, OR area. Various days and shifts are available with a pay rate of $22-$24.90/hr, with weekly pay. Pay will be discussed during the interview. Submitting an application in advance is highly encouraged; walk-ins are welcome but may experience delayed interview times to complete the application. Come prepared to interview with our hiring managers. Please bring standard Identification documents and guard card; if you are a good fit, you will be onboarded right away at the hiring event. A Security Officer may perform a multitude of duties as specified by the Post Orders and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP). The Security Officer will read and become extremely knowledgeable of Post Orders and SOP and will be able to act quickly and efficiently according to such directives.

Requirements

Valid Oregon DPSST security license
Must have reliable transportation.
Good customer service and communication skills.
Must have open availability to work weekends and holidays and in all weather conditions.
Must be comfortable standing and/or walking for extended periods (75% of the shift).
A working knowledge of computer systems.
High School diploma or equivalent
Oregon DPSST License

Nice To Haves

Current CPR certification is a plus.
Experience with access control systems, wireless tag scanning and Microsoft Office software is a plus.
If applying for a driving position, must be over 21 years of age and possess a clean driving record.

Responsibilities
