About The Position

As a Security Officer for Behavioral Hospital in Bellflower, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. Requirements

  • Must have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
  • Must meet hospital vaccination requirements.
  • Must be able to restrain individuals in a hospital setting.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, disturbances, and other critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner while following established protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of healthcare facility interiors, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
  • Monitor access points and visitor activity, communicate relevant observations to facility personnel and Allied Universal leadership, and complete required reports.
  • Assist with maintaining an orderly, welcoming healthcare environment while providing directions and support to patients, visitors, and staff.
