Requirements

  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

  • Access Control/Badge Experience (B201): Familiarity with managing access control systems and issuing badges to ensure secure entry.
  • Alarm Panel Experience (B202): Proficiency in monitoring and responding to alarm systems, ensuring a swift and effective response to any incidents.
  • Customer Service Experience (B219): Strong interpersonal skills and a commitment to providing exceptional service to clients and visitors.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, drivers, visitors, and vendors by carrying out access-control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify identification and authorization, issue visitor credentials, and maintain access-related logs in accordance with site requirements.
  • Screen incoming visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel; communicate access instructions; and direct authorized individuals to appropriate check-in or staging areas.
  • Respond to access-related incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns through established communication channels.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, loading areas, parking locations, and the business perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
