About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time unarmed patrol officer at a commercial real estate location in Cambridge, Massachusetts. The officer will provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and vendors while carrying out security procedures and site-specific policies. Duties include regular and random patrols of building interiors, exterior grounds, parking areas, and perimeter areas; monitoring access points and activity; responding to incidents and alarms; and preparing accurate reports and shift communications. The listed schedule is Friday and Saturday, 12:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m. The pay rate is $22.75 per hour.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
Meet any applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
Have a valid driver’s license only if assigned to a driving position.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and vendors while carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of building interiors, exterior grounds, parking areas, and perimeter areas; identify and report unusual activity, maintenance concerns, or access issues.
Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly, following site protocols and contacting appropriate personnel or emergency services as needed.
Monitor access points and observe visitor, contractor, and delivery activity according to site procedures.
Complete accurate activity reports, incident documentation, and shift communications according to Allied Universal and site requirements.
