As an Access Control Security Professional at a marine terminal location, you will help manage entry points, verify credentials, support badge access processes, and provide outstanding customer service to visitors and personnel. You will maintain a visible presence, communicate clearly, and help deter security-related incidents while supporting a caring, reliable, and integrity-driven Allied Universal team.

Requirements

  • Possess a Transportation Security Administration-issued Transportation Worker Identification Credential.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and contractors by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and authorization, and maintain accurate visitor, contractor, and vehicle access records.
  • Control access to restricted terminal areas in accordance with established procedures and report unauthorized access attempts or unusual activity to appropriate personnel.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site-specific protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, docks, parking areas, and the surrounding perimeter; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
