Requirements

1+ years of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience is required.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

CPR certification is preferred.
Experience with handcuffs, pepper spray, and baton is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to staff, patients, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting relevant details and communicating with site contacts and/or emergency personnel as needed.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter locations to help to deter unwanted activity and report unusual conditions.
Monitor access points and activity across the location, assist with visitor and vendor directions, and follow post orders related to restricted areas, after-hours access, and/or sensitive healthcare environments.
