As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Loss Prevention Patrol in Palo Alto, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As a Retail Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas throughout a high-profile retail location, maintaining a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Customer service experience is preferred.
A guard card or license is preferred.
A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
Loss prevention experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide exceptional customer service to clients, visitors, and retail associates while carrying out site-specific procedures and security-related policies.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the retail location, including sales areas, entrances, exits, stock areas, and perimeter locations, to help deter unauthorized activity.
Monitor access points, observe customer and employee activity, and report suspicious behavior, policy violations, and security-related concerns to appropriate personnel.
Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response procedures.
Complete required activity logs, incident reports, and shift documentation accurately and promptly.
