About The Position

As a part-time unarmed Patrol Officer at a government location in Raleigh, North Carolina, you will help safeguard the site by monitoring and patrolling assigned areas, maintaining a visible presence, and providing professional customer service and communication. You will use computer or tablet systems to document activities and support site operations. The position is scheduled Friday and Saturday from 9:15 AM to 6:15 PM.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
Meet any licensing requirements imposed by state or local laws and regulations; licensing may be required before employment.
Have a valid driver's license if assigned to a driving position.

Nice To Haves

Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public while carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at government facilities.
Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter areas to deter unauthorized activity and identify security concerns.
Monitor access points and verify visitor, contractor, and delivery authorization according to site procedures.
Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, communicating with appropriate personnel and emergency responders as needed.
Prepare clear, accurate reports and maintain activity logs related to patrols, incidents, and observed security conditions.
