About The Position

As a Security Officer Full Time Security Operations in Newport, RI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As a Healthcare Security Professional with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned hospital areas, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and provide exceptional customer service to patients, visitors, and staff. You will support a caring environment through clear communication, teamwork, and integrity while responding to security-related concerns with professionalism. Requirements

  • Client requires proof of a high school diploma or GED.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities within a healthcare environment.
  • Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of hospital buildings, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual activity or hazards.
  • Assist with access control, visitor management, and direction-giving while maintaining a professional presence in patient care and public areas.
  • Document incidents, observations, and response activities accurately and communicate relevant information to appropriate personnel.
