As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol Security Evaluation in NEW YORK, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer with Allied Universal at a government services location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for visitors and staff. You will conduct routine patrols, communicate clearly, respond professionally to situations, and deliver exceptional customer service. Requirements

  • Possess a New York State Security Guard License.
  • Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to residents, visitors, staff, and service providers by carrying out site-specific procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a government service location.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned interior and exterior areas, entrances, perimeters, and common areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
  • Monitor access points, observe visitor activity, and report unauthorized access, suspicious behavior, hazards, or maintenance concerns according to site procedures.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate site contacts and emergency services when needed.
  • Prepare accurate incident reports, patrol logs, and daily activity documentation in accordance with Allied Universal and site requirements.
