About The Position

Allied Universal® is hiring a Security Professional - Unarmed. The Security Professional will conduct unarmed foot and/or vehicle patrol (interior and/or exterior) in a hospital environment. Additional duties include control access and egress; monitor CCTV and alarm systems; compose reports; deter criminal activity and misconduct. Due to the safety sensitive nature of this role, qualified candidates must be able to submit to drug screening to the extent permissible by law. This assignment is in a healthcare facility. As such, a tuberculosis (TB) test and certain vaccinations may be required.

Requirements

  • Must have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Must meet hospital vaccine requirements.
  • Must be able to work in a hospital environment that includes a morgue.
  • Client requires proof of a high school diploma or GED.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Must be able to restrain individuals in a hospital setting.
  • Must have at least 2 years of service in a healthcare or medical-related field.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, and problem-solving manner, including contacting appropriate personnel and/or first responders when needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, entrances, parking areas, and the perimeter to help identify unusual activity, unsecured areas, and/or conditions that may require attention.
  • Monitor access points and assist with visitor screening processes, badge checks, and/or directional support in accordance with site procedures and healthcare location protocols.
  • Document observed activity, incidents, and/or policy-related concerns through detailed reports and communicate relevant information to supervisors, staff, and/or emergency personnel as appropriate.
