As an Access Control Officer at a commercial real estate location, you will help manage entry points, verify credentials, issue badges, and monitor alarms and access activity. You will conduct routine patrols, stay visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and respond to reports with clear, professional communication. Requirements

  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and contractors by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities appropriate to a commercial property location.
  • Control access at entrances and lobbies by verifying identification, managing visitor registration, issuing temporary badges as directed, and coordinating access for deliveries and vendors.
  • Monitor alarms, cameras, and access control systems when assigned, and report irregular activity, maintenance issues, and policy concerns through required documentation and notifications.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including dispatching assistance, communicating with property management, and completing incident reports.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of interior common areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify hazards and/or operational concerns.
