As a Security Officer Full Time Overnight College Campus Patrol in Bronx, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer at an educational location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming campus environment. Requirements
- Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Nice To Haves
- CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and campus guests by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, medical events, and other critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established campus protocols.
- Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of academic buildings, residence areas, parking facilities, walkways, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity.
- Monitor access points and report suspicious activity, hazards, maintenance concerns, and policy violations to the appropriate personnel.
- Document incidents, observations, and patrol activities accurately and communicate relevant information to campus representatives and Allied Universal leadership.
