This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.
Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to visitors, students, faculty, staff, artists, contractors, and other guests by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of campus, galleries, public spaces, classrooms, offices, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.
- Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials or authorization when required, and provide directions or assistance in a professional manner.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, medical situations, disturbances, and other critical events in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and document activities according to site procedures.
- Complete accurate activity reports, incident reports, and shift communications while maintaining a professional presence in educational and cultural institution environments.
