As an Allied Universal Patrol Officer at a residential community, you will complete routine vehicle patrols, stay highly visible, and help to identify and report security-related concerns while providing courteous assistance to residents and guests. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license. You will communicate clearly, document observations, and support a caring culture through teamwork, integrity, and an agile, reliable, and innovative approach.

Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to residents, guests, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of residential streets, common areas, and perimeter points to help to deter unwanted activity and/or policy violations; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assessing conditions, notifying appropriate parties, and documenting actions taken.
  • Monitor and report on access points, parking areas, and community amenities, assisting with resident and/or visitor questions and helping to address concerns in accordance with posted rules and location instructions.
  • Complete reports, logs, and incident documentation clearly and accurately, communicating notable activity to Allied Universal leadership and/or client representatives as directed.
