About The Position

We are seeking a Security Officer who will be responsible for the safety and security of the students, staff and facilities. The hours are 7:30am to 4:30pm with Wednesday and Thursday off. Iroquois Job Corps offers training in the medical trades (Certified Nursing Assistant and Certified Medical Assistant), Bricklaying, Carpentry, Electrical and Paint.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED
Excellent communication/listening skills
Proficiency in computer software
Six months of experience in a security or security-related field
Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record

Responsibilities

Patrolling assigned areas on campus
Performing building security and safety checks
Conducting preliminary investigations (training provided)
Enforcing the Center rules and regulations
Assisting staff and students in addressing issues including de-escalation of behavior
Providing escort services as needed
Monitoring activities via camera surveillance systems
