About The Position

As a Security Officer Badge Verification Driver in Deer Park, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Officer at a chemical and petrochemical location, where you will monitor entry points, verify credentials, and support badge access activities while helping to deter security-related incidents. This is a driving post. You will remain visible, provide strong customer service and communication, and contribute to a caring, agile team that values reliability, innovation, teamwork, and integrity.

Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • A TSA issued TWIC is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to all persons at the location by following site-specific access control procedures, verifying credentials, and documenting visitor and contractor entry and exit activity.
  • Monitor entry points, gates, and restricted areas to help to deter unauthorized access and report suspicious, unusual, and/or prohibited activity according to site protocols.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and support emergency response activities in accordance with site instructions.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter, observing for potential hazards, access control issues, and other security-related concerns common to a chemical and petrochemical environment.
  • Communicate with site personnel, visitors, drivers, and/or contractors regarding access requirements, delivery procedures, and security-related policies while maintaining accurate logs and reports.
