About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer Armed Mobile Patrol Driver to serve and safeguard clients at a retail location in Houston, Texas. The role involves conducting armed mobile patrols and maintaining a visible security presence to help deter incidents while supporting a welcoming environment for customers and team members. The position requires a valid driver’s license and Texas Level III Armed Certification. The officer provides customer service and clear communication while demonstrating integrity and teamwork. This is a full-time position paying $22.00 per hour. The listed schedule is Wednesday through Sunday, 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM. Employment is conditional on a background investigation and, where permitted by law, a drug screen. The employee must participate in industry-specific security training. Licensing requirements may vary by state or locality and may be required before employment.

Requirements

At least 3 years of combined law enforcement, corrections, or military experience, or at least 5 years of armed security-related experience.
Valid driver’s license in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements; required for driving positions.
Texas Level III Armed Certification.
At least 21 years of age for armed roles.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participation in industry-specific security training programs.
Meet applicable state and/or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, shoppers, and store personnel while following security procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
Respond professionally to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, contacting law enforcement and emergency services when needed.
Conduct regular and random armed patrols of the retail store, parking areas, loading docks, perimeter, and other assigned locations.
Monitor access points and customer and employee activity; report suspicious behavior, hazards, and policy violations according to site procedures.
Prepare accurate incident reports and maintain required documentation related to patrols, incidents, and security activities.
