We are seeking part-time Security Officers to patrol and secure assigned premises as well as identify risks to staff and residents.

Requirements

Previous experience in security, law enforcement, or other related fields.
Must be able to complete Maryland Guard Card Training and pass criminal background check
Familiarity with security equipment.
Ability to handle physical workload.
Valid driver’s license.
Strong attention to detail.
All new hires must be able to pass our preemployment screening process, which includes a fitness for duty physical, criminal background check, drug test and employment references as required by a licensed residential care facility.

Responsibilities

Thoroughly examine doors, windows, and entrances to ensure proper function and security.
Monitor premises to prevent theft, violence, or infractions of rules.
Report on any facility issues such as fire hazards and leaking water pipes.
Responds to all fire alarms and apartment emergency calls.
Perform light maintenance as time allows such as changing light bulbs, and similar assignments.
Shovels and keeps clear exit door walkways during and after snowstorms.
