About The Position

Armorous is hiring a part-time Security Officer for a business park/event center. The officer safeguards the property, deters criminal activity, supports public safety, and helps ensure a safe and welcoming environment for guests. This is a walking post that requires extended periods on foot and multiple patrols throughout the shift. The scheduled shifts are Saturday through Tuesday, 4:00 PM to 12:00 AM, for 32 hours per week, with the opportunity to pick up additional shifts. Compensation is $21.00 per hour. Requirements

Valid BSIS Guard Card.
Current BSIS compliance, including an 8-hour initial training certificate and 32-hour continuing education certificates.
Strong customer service skills and a professional demeanor.
Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 pounds, and complete multiple walking patrols totaling multiple miles per shift.
Ability to remain alert, responsive, and proactive in high-pressure situations.
Vigilance, sound decision-making, and excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

Conduct routine patrols and hourly tours, scanning 10 tags during each tour.
Monitor and secure the designated property, including checking entrances and exits and controlling guest access.
Check fire panels and other instrument panels during tours.
Ensure doors are closed and locked, with particular attention to the pool door.
Provide friendly, professional customer service to guests.
Prevent children from climbing trees or statues.
Ensure guests keep alcohol in the bar area and do not take it outside that area.
Identify and report suspicious activity, safety hazards, and unauthorized access.
Maintain a visible security presence to deter criminal activity and support public safety.
Respond promptly to incidents and support emergency situations.
Complete hourly activity logs and accurately document daily activity, incidents, and observations.
Communicate security updates and concerns to supervisors and team members.
Remain off the phone while on post.
