As an Access Control Officer at a logistics and distribution location, you will help manage entry points, verify credentials, monitor visitor and employee access, and conduct routine patrols to help deter security-related incidents. You will provide outstanding customer service, communicate clearly with site personnel, and support loss prevention efforts. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Loss prevention experience is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, drivers, visitors, and delivery personnel by carrying out access-control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and visitor authorization, issue visitor passes, and maintain accurate access logs in accordance with site procedures.
  • Coordinate the arrival and departure of trucks, contractors, and vendors, directing authorized personnel to designated areas while reporting unauthorized access attempts or irregular activity.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate site contacts and Allied Universal leadership as directed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, loading areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
