Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and other guests at a technology-focused location by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control protocols, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of office areas, common spaces, exterior grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual conditions, unauthorized access, and security-related concerns.
• Monitor entry and exit activity, verify visitor and contractor authorization in accordance with site procedures, and maintain accurate security-related logs and incident documentation.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, medical events, and other critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate site contacts and emergency responders as directed.
• Support a professional workplace environment by communicating clearly with site personnel and following Allied Universal and client site policies, procedures, and reporting requirements.
