About The Position

We are seeking a vigilant and reliable Security Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for our retail establishment. This role involves monitoring premises, responding to incidents, and ensuring the enforcement of company policies. The Security Officer will also play a key role in providing excellent customer service and collaborating with external emergency services when necessary.

Requirements

Current Guard Card
Current exposed firearm permit
High school diploma or GED equivalent, supplemented by relevant security training and certifications
Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in security services, law enforcement, or military
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to remain calm and composed during high-stress situations
Excellent observation skills and attention to detail
Basic knowledge of security and safety protocols
Ability to work on a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays
Must be physically fit and able to stand, walk, or run for long periods of time
Must have a valid driver's license and a clean driving record

Responsibilities

Monitor and authorize entrance and departure of employees and visitors
Conduct regular patrols of the premises to detect and deter security threats
Respond to emergency situations and provide assistance as needed
Report any unusual activities or incidents
Maintain detailed records of all security-related incidents
Collaborate and communicate with law enforcement and emergency services as necessary
Enforce company policies and procedures to ensure the safety of employees and assets
Conduct safety and security inspections to identify potential risks and hazards
Provide excellent customer service by assisting with customer inquiries and requests
Conduct training and drills for emergency procedures with other staff members
