As a Security Officer Daytime Patrol Guard in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer at a public healthcare location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and support staff, patients, and visitors with exceptional customer service and communication. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to staff, patients, and visitors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-related protocols, and/or emergency response activities as appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting security-related concerns to site leadership and/or public agencies when needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, entrances, parking areas, and the surrounding perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
  • Monitor entry points, verify credentials and/or visitor authorizations, and help to control access to restricted areas in accordance with location policies and government-related requirements.
  • Support a professional environment by offering directions, assisting with de-escalation when appropriate, and communicating clearly with staff, visitors, and emergency responders during routine and unusual events.
