As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Access in Thibodaux, LA, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Client requires proof of high school diploma or GED.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• The ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer and/or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific procedures, access control protocols, and/or emergency response activities at a manufacturing and industrial location.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials, screen visitors, and document deliveries, vendors, and/or contractors in support of authorized site access.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report security-related concerns according to site procedures.
• Perform routine and random checks of access points, gates, restricted areas, and perimeter locations to help support security-related operations.
• Communicate with site personnel, visitors, and Allied Universal leadership regarding post activity, unusual conditions, and/or security-related incidents.
